Observations today: Pedro seems to be using his phone to research information about me, and I overhear him telling Rosita that she should not help me. He mumbled about how she could get in trouble with the US and FBI. The US embassy might come after her. I found this very strange because Zappo had insinuated the same things. Pedro discussed with Aglia and Rosita how I have $240K in the bank. They talk about how my house in San Lorenzo has washed away, and the chickens are all dead. I saw the recent news reports about a rainstorm on the TV, and I became even more convinced that there was a pattern to the things I was overhearing. First, the things I heard were spoken in Spanish; however, I can understand more than speak the language. Second, everything said was either threatening or tragic. Why? To upset me and make me scared and nervous? Why were certain patients interested in focusing on me and discussing facts about my life that they had no public access to know?
I got to speak to Daniel at 7:00 a.m., and I asked about the house and chickens. He said everything was fine.
I spent the day working on my memory knots, observing the nurses, and cleaning attendants.
The nurses look hot and exhausted in their PPE. All of us patients act very polite and always thank everyone who gives us food, cleans our beds, or gives us our medications. Some of the nurses we can joke with. I have made several nurses laugh at some silly things I say. Many know some English. The male attendants who take the dirty linen and the red biohazard bags are very unhappy. Most do not smile, and I have seen some who bang stuff around and almost smash and then throw the biohazard bags out the salon door after sealing them up. Rosita and I discuss our observations and thoughts.
About Tina. Every morning she is outraged. She yells at her family about Covid and sin when she gets to use the phone. I can only guess it is because of the sexual nature of her treatment at night.
9:00 p.m.: Repeat of the night before. I took all my medication, even the Florodon, but I woke up after about 30 minutes. I spent several hours watching the monitors and the people who walked by in the hallway outside the room. It was a long night till 4:30 in the morning. However, I am now terrified to fall asleep at night. I try to sleep more in the daytime since I have nothing else to do.

Daniel’s notes: Lawyer SB: 7/2/21, 7:29 a.m. – D: Good morning SB, I hope you are well. I would like to speak with you when you are available today, and provide an update on my mother. I spoke with her this morning and we have additional concerns. Thank you for your time and assistance.
7/2/21, 3:29 p.m. – D: Hello SB, I wanted to tell you I spoke with one of the doctors today at 1:25 p.m. He explained my mother’s condition remains stable. I explained to him about the poor communication and that you and the legal team will be in contact with the hospital moving forward. The doctor seemed nervous because he asked me if we still wanted to move my mother. I politically answered no, my mother needs to receive treatment there. Between you and I as discussed earlier, I would like to fight through the court to move my mother to CIMA. I will let you and the legal team answer these questions to the doctors. I dont want to say the wrong thing to the doctors and have my mothers treatment be affected. Lastly, the doctor explains the protocol is every 2 days they are available for an update.
7/2/21, 3:34 p.m. – D: I am not entirely satisfied with every 2 days, so we will have to see if an update everyday is achievable. Lastly, once the POA is ready for my mother to sign, I would like to know if it is possible to arrange giving my mother her cell phone to communicate. If it is possible, you could come to my house and pickup her cell phone and charger ahead of POA sign. I am afraid my mother’s spirit will dwindle if she is unable to communicate with family during this difficult time. Please let me know what you think. Thank you very much.
