Gallery No. 8: Located in Three Worlds

After much work, Gallery No. 8 can now be found in three virtual worlds. The main Gallery No. 8 is located in Second Life: https://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Starship/138/64

This gallery exhibits both past and present work by Maya Eight and Aztec Fenstalker. This is the largest gallery and features both real life art work as well as sculptures. There is a teleporter to the beach house far below on the mainland where you can wander around a lovely forest garden or sit and watch the waves hit the shore.

Next, in the Kitely Grid, there are actually two galleries:

Kitely.com: grid.kitely.com:8002:Gallery No.8 and Town Center

The larger gallery and artist workshop is in Gallery No.8 and Town Center where more real life art can be purchased. This gallery is among many other shops on an island land of fun and excitement. There are many things to explore in this world! Music concerts, swimming, sailing, hiking, relaxing in Crescent Park. Or perhaps you would like to host a conference at the Amphitheater. Reserve a room at the Lodge or at the Beach House!  Continuing on, at Seaside Dreams: Kitely.com: grid.kitely.com:8002:Seaside Dreams

You can find a small Gallery No. 8 in the marketplace where a collection of digital art can be found, as well as the artist’s published art books about Second Life. Located at the landing point is a teleporter to the Wounded Knee Memorial education site and an OS Teleporter Beam to other OS sites.

Finally, the new edition is Gallery No. 8 in OS Grid: Opensimworld.com: hg.osgrid.org:80:Gallery No. 8

After landing at the dock, one can explore a whole island or immediately fly a pod up to the Gallery. There is also an OS Teleporter Beam located here. At the visitors center, up near the Gallery No. 8,

there is information about all of the other No. 8 galleries and art projects. The gallery itself contains a collection of artist works, from paintings, digital art, to photography and sculptures. In addition, there is gallery space for conferences, meetings or parties. Surrounded by nothing but open ocean and open sky above, this is truly a very beautiful world by Danger Lytton.

Now in Costa Rica

Many things have happened! I sold most of my stuff, sold my house, retired from teaching and I am now in Cost Rica!

In addition, I am not on Facebook anymore due to the censorship and increased advertisements.

I created a virtual memorial of the Wounded Knee Massacre. Please visit to gain knowledge of how the past links directly to current events. At this virtual interactive site, I use videos, primary source materials, and photos to explore the events that led up to the massacre of mostly unarmed women and children. In addition, please find an interview about the site at: https://virtualoutworlding.blogspot.com/2018/02/2018-edu-massacre-at-wounded-knee.html

The Mountain Tram at Kitely

Learning code! I found someone online who had code for the tram to move easily up and down the mountain! This after 2 years working on this idea. So, I tried the script out and …my tram kept rotating sideways and backwards before actually moving up and down the line. !!! So I reached out to the script writer who was very nice in making some changes to his code. Except now my tram goes up the line stops and then goes off sim! I will figure this out some way. I am closer to having the mountain tram at Gallery No. 8 and Town Center!

Update at Gallery No. 8

I finished all work on a new gallery. One side has the offices and older art work displayed. The larger gallery space displays all of the newer art works including the upper floor that displays fashion from the VIDA collection. My efforts on tying together my real work with virtual work is complete.

Please do come to a special Christmas Eve Celebration:

Location: Second Life: Gallery No. 8

Date: Sunday, December 24th, 7:00 p.m. PST

Gallery No. 8 in the real world, is now officially located in Costa Rica, just outside of San Jose.

I am back, but I left…

Yes, it has been almost exactly a year since I posted after I came back from Standing Rock, North Dakota. Let me just say it was a life altering experience. I am a different person now. I cannot live in the U.S. What I experienced first hand, was blatant racism and hatred of indigenous people. I also witnessed how the government works with corporations to undermine human rights and evade ecological regulations. In addition, I saw people who were merely saying prayers, get arrested and charged with felonies. So, I did come back, but I stepped up my retirement date and moved to Costa Rica.

For good.

I am not coming back.

The past two months I finished my work on the virtual Wounded Knee Memorial. I have created a memorial that ties the information I learned about Standing Rock in North Dakota with what happened at Wounded Knee in South Dakota. The connections between the past and the present are very evident for those who do any sort of historic research. Please do visit my memorial and help me add anything I missed.

Let us never forget.

On a small island you will now find a teleporter to Wounded Knee, South Dakota. It is a work in progress as I add more information. This is a memorial of the massacre that occurred December 29th, 1890 and the information that I gather connects with the current news about the ongoing genocide of the First Nation. From Uranium mining poisoning the water on Navajo land to the leaking oil pipelines in Standing Rock to climate change literally melting the permafrost in Alaska. What we are witnessing are human rights violations and environmental racism. We cannot change what we do not even know is happening, so the memorial will bring this knowledge to the virtual world.

Official Opening of Memorial: Thursday, December 29th, 2017  7:00 pm PST
